Charter
The Agriculture Marketing Authority Act No. 2 of 2004 established the AGRICULTURAL MARKETING AUTHORITY to facilitate the purchase, sale and exportation of Agro-produce and for related matters.

Mandate
- Agricultural Marketing Authority(AMA) was passed in the Parliament under the Act no.2 of 2004 on 9th March,2004.
- AMA commenced trading as Fijiagromarketing in December 2004,operating under the ambit of Ministry of Agriculture
- AMA is to serve the inaccessible and uneconomical rural farming communities of Fiji;as a Social Obligation yet compete in a Commercial Environment.
Functions Of The Authority
The Authority will provide the following services as covered in the AMA Act:
• To assist the producers of Agro-produce in marketing of their products.
