March 18, 2024The Agricultural Marketing Authority (AMA) with great pride commemorates International Women’s Day, a day resonating the spirit of appreciation and celebrations of women around the world.
These were the words of AMA National Operations Manager Mr. Pajiliai Yalimaiwai while delivering his speech during the special event held by the company to appreciate the efforts and contribution of the women in AMA.
The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is, “Inspire inclusion” and, AMA is proud to be an exemplar of gender inclusivity.
“This commitment to diversity is not just a policy but a reflection of AMA’s belief that an inclusive workplace breeds innovation, creativity, and, overall excellence,” Mr. Yalimaiwai said.
The history of International Women’s Day dates back to the early 20th century when women began asserting their rights for equality in both the workplace and society.
The day has since evolved into a global celebration, highlighting the triumphs and acknowledging the challenges that women face.
“It serves as a poignant reminder that progress is not a given; it requires continuous dedication and investment.”
